It is hard to believe that this very difficult year is coming to a close. With the holidays upon us, I thought it would be a good idea to discuss gifts. This year, perhaps more than others, individuals will want to show their appreciation for healthcare workers who have risked so much during the pandemic. Employers will want to thank their employees. Coworkers, colleagues, and others will want to share their best wishes for the year to come. Often, these expressions of appreciation come in the form of gifts, and unfortunately, gifts can be the source of significant compliance problems.
