The COVID-19 pandemic has certainly altered our lives in many ways. But one thing I don’t buy is that everything about how we have lived and worked since early 2020 is the “new normal,” as some would have us believe.
We’ve all been forced to make numerous adjustments to our personal and work lives. Much of the workforce has been working remotely, HCCA included. One major part of our operations that has undergone the greatest change involves our conferences and other educational events. In-person events had to quickly be replaced with virtual versions. The more everyone did of the virtual conferences, the better we all got at them. And virtual conferences can be a highly efficient way to deliver educational content in a very affordable manner, and with none of the inconveniences of travel involved.
