Shipping companies struggle to meet IMO standards

A study by UK-based environmental organization CDP paints a dismal picture of shipping companies’ abilities to comply with the International Maritime Organization (IMO) goal to reduce greenhouse emissions by 50% before 2050. The study found that out of 18 major shipping companies, just three are actively pursuing low-carbon fuels.
