Is it just me, or does anyone else get irritated when they see a presumably grown adult sneaking in a text message or phone call on the plane after the flight attendant has announced for the third time that it’s time to put your devices in airplane mode? I recently observed a 50-something-year-old man in a suit and tie bending and contorting his body so that the flight attendant couldn’t see him texting. On the same flight, another guy waited until the flight attendant passed and each time quickly whipped out his phone to continue texting. I find the whole thing amusing, but also irritating.
