When referring to security, we often think of the three components that contribute to the security of information: confidentiality, integrity, and availability of the data. This month’s reminder is particularly timely, because it represents my attempt to share a genuine lesson learned with the hope that it will positively benefit others. This month’s security reminder is related to the availability of information, including stored information that may contain electronic protected health information (ePHI).
