Justice Department cracks down further on procurement fraud

The U.S. Department of Justice announced the addition of 11 new members to the Procurement Collusion Strike Force[1] (PCSF), created to combat collusion, antitrust crimes, and related fraudulent schemes in the government procurement sector. Nine of the 11 new partners are attorneys’ offices across the United States, adding valuable investigative and enforcement capabilities to PCSF.

“‘I am excited to welcome these new partners to the PCSF effort,’ Assistant Attorney General Makan Delrahim of the Justice Department’s Antitrust Division said announcing the new partners in Washington, D.C. ‘By growing our national footprint, and folding in additional subject-matter experts, the PCSF is poised for even more success in its next year.’”

The PCSF has been active in chasing down fraud in government procurement, including issues of cybersecurity, bid rigging, and switching products after winning a bid.
