The attendance at SCCE Basic Compliance & Ethics Academies is mostly in-house compliance and ethics professionals, but increasingly, the Academies have drawn in members from the solution provider community, outside counsel, and even government regulators.
Scott Lane, CEO and Chairman of The Red Flag Group, a global integrity and compliance risk firm, is an early adopter from the vendor community who recognizes the value of staff attending the Academies. He shared, “In order to be the best integrity and compliance solutions provider in the world, our staff across product development, professional services, client services, and sales should have a complete and holistic understanding of compliance. This results in the delivery of a higher quality product and service for our clients.”
That’s both a laudable goal and a challenge for any company, but for The Red Flag Group, it is even more complicated. Over the past two years, the company has also been expanding their global footprint by opening new offices in Shanghai, Penang, Jordan, Poland, and Panama.
With a growing team, getting them up to speed on compliance best practice is critical. To meet their goal, the firm designed a staff training program that includes in-house training led by previous in-house compliance professionals which is complemented by external training courses, such as the SCCE Academy.
