Given the importance of an organization’s standards of conduct (standards, also called the code of conduct) in communicating the organization’s commitment to its compliance program, it is critical that a compliance professional have a clear plan in what to share with new employees about the standards of conduct during the new employee orientation (NEO) event. In doing so, the compliance professional can create a level of awareness about the standards of conduct that attendees can take with them after NEO.
