A week ago, my six-year-old nephew shocked everyone at a social event. He was deftly building a Lego set meant for ages 12+ when he announced, “I’m really good at this!” It was a pure moment of joy for him, and he is correct—he’s really good at Lego. But to proclaim oneself good at something, out loud, is not often socially acceptable.
